Chief Revenue Officer

Powerlytics, is a cutting-edge, venture backed data and predictive analytics provider that has developed and commercialized a set of proprietary data assets underpinned by the anonymized tax returns of all US households (150M) and for-profit businesses (30M+). Powerlytics’ clients include top 5 banks, insurance companies, asset managers as well as alternative lenders, marketing firms and global consulting firms among others. Powerlytics is seeking to hire a Chief Revenue Officer (the CRO) to help drive aggressive near and long-term growth targets

The CRO will report to the CEO and be part of the executive leadership team. This key executive will oversee a team of seasoned sales professionals with deep subject expertise on the markets they serve and will be responsible for driving rapid revenue growth, setting the vision, growth strategy and leading the execution of the sales organization.

Objectives and Responsibilities of the Chief Review Officer

Leadership/Supervisory Role: The CRO will be a critical member of the senior leadership team, helping to develop overall company strategic direction and refine and execute the go-to-market strategy. The CRO will oversee the sales department and be responsible for managing, developing and growing the department to meet the company’s growth goals.
In this leadership position, the CRO also plays a mentorship role to key personnel within the department, assisting in the execution of their function and encouraging the constant growth in their professional skills.

The CRO should be comfortable discussing all aspects of the Powerlytics data strategy and roadmap with clients and other industry leaders at conferences as required.

Strategy: The CRO should expect to participate in overall company and product strategic planning, develop, drive and execute the go-to-market strategy, including account targeting and partnership/channel strategy. The CRO will also be responsible to develop revenue projections for annual budgets of the Company and ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded.

Collaboration: The CRO position plays a highly collaborative role in working with the Operations, Technology, as well as Data and Analytics teams. The CRO will contribute to and be able to foster a cohesive, collaborative culture both within sales and across the company.
The CRO may also collaborate with Partners and Clients to create new solutions.

Expectations of Chief Revenue Officer

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue generation strategy aligned with the company’s overall vision.
  • Lead, motivate, and build high-performing sales, marketing, and business development teams.
  • Establish clear sales goals and metrics, and ensure consistent pipeline generation and deal conversion.
  • Develop and implement a B2B demand generation capability that drives high-quality new leads and enhances Powerlytics’ brand awareness.
  • Identify and pursue new market segments and revenue streams, fostering strategic partnerships for market expansion.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring exceptional customer success and long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with product development to ensure solutions meet market needs and drive sales.
  • Analyze data and market trends to forecast revenue and identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage revenue operations and ensure efficient lead management and sales processes.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including investors, board members, and industry leaders.

Required Qualifications of the Chief Review Officer
Education: The CRO must have at a minimum a Bachelor’s Degree. An understanding of financial and economic data is a plus.

Experience: Candidates for this position must have a proven track record with a minimum of 10 years of experience in senior B2B sales leadership positions including experience building and managing a B2B demand generation function. The CRO will have deep experience working across internal and external stakeholders. Experience selling into Financial Services and working within a fast-paced, early-stage innovative business environment is required.

Big Data and Predictive Analytics: The CRO should have a deep understanding of the data and analytics landscape and its application to solving business problems. This includes experience selling data and predictive analytics solutions, including both raw data sales to drive business decisioning as well as solutions. The CRO should be comfortable collaborating with clients and product development to create data enabled solutions to solve risk and marketing challenges within the broader financial services sector.

Communication and Collaboration Skills: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are required for the CRO in order to work effectively with and across departments in addition to working with clients. The CRO will need to be able to discuss data assets and predictive analytics with both technical and non-technical employees and customers.

Interpersonal Skills: A suitable candidate is also a results-driven individual, highly creative and analytical, a strategic thinker, able to work comfortably in a remote, yet collaborative setting, comfortable working with business executives, highly organized, able to work on multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines.

Leadership/People Skills: The CRO must have experience building and scaling high-performing sales and marketing teams. The candidate should also possess strong leadership skills, being able to work with cross-functional groups as well as being able to interact with customers. The CRO must be a likable and approachable person who inspires trust and confidence in others who will readily give credit in their insights, judgments, and work collaboratively with the team, displaying a Company first attitude.

Compensation:Position offers a very competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary, bonus and equity as well as a benefits package.
